Randy Savage defends the WWF Championship against Andre the Giant in a match that took place just over a week from the first SummerSlam. The Powers of Pain take on the Bolsheviks. The Hart Foundation tangles with the Rougeau Brothers. Jake “The Snake” Roberts faces “Ravishing” Rick Rude. Curt “Not Yet Perfect” Hennig and the Blue Angel (no, not the Blue Blazer, the Blue “Angel”) are also both in action. Read more.

On the same night that Dale Earnhardt won the 1987 Bristol Night Race, the crowd in New York had to make due with Scott Casey vs. Tama, Tito Santana vs. “Outlaw” Ron Bass, Haku vs. Rick Martel, “Superstar” Billy Graham vs. Butch Reed, “Leaping” Lanny Poffo vs Jose Estrada. They also got Sensational Sherri defending the WWF Ladies’ Championship against Velvet McIntyre, a lumberjack match between the Honky Tonk Man and Ricky “The Dragon” Steamboat for the Intercontinental Championship, and a tag team match pitting the Junk Yard Dog and George “The Animal” Steele vs. Demolition.
